So, why the hint of caution about repealing DADT over an IMAGINED impact on the military and their families? What about the REAL impact DADT has now on the military and their families when lesbians and gays are fired for being who they are?
To Defense Secretary Robert Gate's comment:
What do you mean by looking for a way to apply DADT more selectively while it’s still law in order to be more humane? Just how do you propose to do that? Are you going to seek out gays and lesbians in the military who wouldn’t mind getting fired?
