More Anti-Gay Propaganda Hits Florida

Florida and Texas are starting to worry me. Thankfully, our GLBT communities in these states are courageous fighters.
We told you yesterday about the protest outside of Tampa's WFLA (an NBC affiliate), where a crowd of gay rights groups demanded an apology from the station for airing an hour-long homophobic infomercial.
Today The Miami Herald's Steve Rothaus has uncovered an anti-gay ad in a newspaper published by The Florida Bar, nonetheless. The disgusting piece, titled "What's So Gay About It?", is a disheartening rant by George L. Metcalfe, who deems same-sex parenting a "magnificently devastating problem for children."
Surely the publishers of the organization's newspaper must realize that the ad will be seen by state civil rights attorneys, who are already preparing their lines of attack.
