Library asked to stock 'ex-gay' literature

A group called the Christian Civil Liberties Union is accusing a library in Wisconsin of not permitting diversity because it does not include anti-gay literature. Here, the conecpt of Civil Liberty is twisted around to include the freedom to promote hatred against a minority, and diversity to include "ideals" of exclusivnesss. Go figure, but narrow minds can squeeze into narror places.

Comment by Terry & Bob on August 23, 2009 at 12:19pm - As much as we do not want to see that sort of thing in a library and no matter how much we hate it, without freedom of speech we would not be where we are today. We must win our fight by logical argument and not repression. As a very wise woman (Mom) once told me: two wrongs do not make a right.
