I know this isn't a gay issue, but I just got my power bill and it's outrageous. Same usage as last year, about 1080 kwh , but the bill has increased $40, one third higher than last year. Better known as a tank of gasoline. Better known as a week's groceries. Better known as $40 going into Progress Energy's pocket, to build a power plant that I will not hold an ownership interest in.

$480 a year at a minimum, just snatched away by the government because that's who approved the rate increase.
