Pinellas Youth Pride (PYP) is an ALL volunteer board spending 100% of the funds raised on GLBT youth. We fund two large safe KID events each year (for the last 5 years) a picnic in December attended by 300+ kids and a dance at the end of the school year attended by 300/350+ kids. We have never had a fundraiser before, thanks to a few generous donors, but as we grow and host more events we find it a necessity. . .so we're excited about this one, so please come! We are looking forward to funding and hosting a "GLBT Career Day" and some Leadership Workshops for kids. We also co-hosted the GLBT Diaogue. . .were we can work on that transitional housing. . .it's a real need. Lynn Mattiace, Chair, Pinellas Youth Pride

anyone know what the money is going to be used for? We have nothing for gay youth in the county. Have there been fund raisers before? What did that money go for? Why are there no youth centers for gay youth in all of Pinellas County? Why is there no transitional housing for throw away LGBT youth?
